Our Protocol

01

We grow our Aloe in Sicily with organic farming methods

Our plants are grown on our land under the Sicilian sun.

The ecosystem in which they are found is of vital importance to ensure a vigorous and qualitative growth of the plant

Cultivation, Selection
and Manual Harvest

Our growers take care of the vigorous growth of our plants. Once mature, they select them and collect the leaves manually, carefully detaching them from the mother plants.

02
03

Processing and Transformation

Our leaves are washed and subsequently processed to try to use the freshest possible raw material.

Production

According to the type of product, the leaves are processed differently by our technicians: all our formulations follow the HACCP standards carefully, to guarantee the quality and safety of the finished product.

05

Cold Stabilization

Our products, being free of preservatives, require a stabilization process. Since 2015 we have relied on High-Pressure-Processing, an innovative process that allows us to reduce the bacterial load while keeping the organoleptic and nutritional properties of our products intact.

Aloe Arborescens, Why?

A free E-book written by Vonderweid, that tells the story and the extraordinary properties of the Aloe Arborescens plant.

How does
Aloe Arborescens work?

Aloe Arborescens is a chemical laboratory, with active ingredients up to 3 times more concentrated than the more famous Aloe Vera.

Discover with us the different characteristics and active principles that this wonderful plant can offer us.

How does
Aloe Vera work?

Aloe Vera, unlike Aloe Arborescens, has thicker leaves and a “richer” gel. However, the concentration of active principles is up to 3 times lower than that of Aloe Arborescens.

Despite this, Aloe Vera is also capable of producing a very high quality nourishing gel.

Organic
Agricolture: what is it?

Organic farming is a production model, governed by EC Regulations 834/07 and 889/08 and at the national level with the Ministerial Decree 18354/09, which minimizes the exploitation of natural resources (soil, water, air) in favor of sustainability.

Organic
Agricolture: why?

We strongly believe in organic farming, its objectives, its rigor and its respect for the environment, even if this means being more dependent on natural events (such as rains or droughts) and sometimes risking to obtain yields lower than those obtainable from a traditionally exploited field.

We are certified BIO by CertBios and, like all organic operators, we are checked and evaluated once a year, both in our countryside in Sicily and Sardinia, and in our laboratory in Trieste.

Organic Agriculture and Aloe:
what are the benefits?

Aloe is a very rustic plant and therefore does not require particular cultural care, its health and energy are deeply influenced by the habitat in which it lives and that is why we grow our plants in the open, a few hundred meters away from the sea, in the heart of the Mediterranean, because we believe it is the best place to enhance them.

Traditional farming techniques are often aimed at exploiting the land that produces a type of “swollen” plant, beautiful in its appearance but poor in content.

Our choice instead aims at creating plants in harmony with the environment in which they live and rich in active ingredients.
